Rundown is a Quran memorization app. You choose a verse, recite it from memory, and the app follows along to show you the word where the recitation left the text. Everything happens on your phone.
Rundown does not collect, transmit, sell, or share any personal information. The app works entirely offline. Your recordings, your results, and your practice history never leave your phone.
Rundown requests the Android RECORD_AUDIO permission so it can listen while you recite a verse from memory. The microphone is used only during a recitation session — from the moment you tap the record button until you stop or the app finishes processing.
Audio is read in small chunks as it arrives and is fed directly into an on-device acoustic model that runs on the phone's processor. No audio is saved to storage, written to a file, or kept after the result is shown. Once the app has determined where the recitation left the verse, the raw audio samples are discarded from memory.
All audio analysis runs locally on your phone. The app converts the microphone input into acoustic features, compares them against the expected verse, and returns a result — all without contacting any server. There is no cloud processing, no speech-to-text service, and no remote API.
Rundown does not use the Internet. The INTERNET and ACCESS_NETWORK_STATE permissions are explicitly removed from the app's manifest. The app cannot connect to any server, upload data, download data, or communicate with any external service. Your recordings and results never leave the device.

Your flagged words and session history remain on your phone until you remove them. You can delete this data in any of these ways:

Rundown is a general education app and is not directed specifically at children under 13. It does not knowingly collect personal information from anyone, including children. Because the app collects no data and has no internet access, there is no information at risk.
