1) Who we are

2) What Kuptim does
Kuptim lets a family teach an Android phone the personal signs used at home. The app turns camera frames into numerical face, hand, arm, and pose landmarks, compares movement sequences with the examples taught by the family, and shows a locally chosen word when a match is sufficiently clear.
3) Information handled on the device
Kuptim handles family-chosen word labels, numerical landmark sequences, recognition thresholds, ordinary-movement samples, model version information, and local settings. This information is stored only in Kuptim's private app storage. Model records are encrypted using a key protected by Android Keystore.
Kuptim does not collect, upload, sell, or share personal data with the developer or any third party. It has no account, analytics, advertising, crash-reporting, cloud, or tracking service.
4) Camera
The CAMERA permission is requested only when a camera-based feature is opened. Frames are processed in memory to extract landmarks. Kuptim does not save or transmit photos, video, or raw camera frames.
5) Nearby Bluetooth transfer
When the user explicitly chooses Send or Receive, Kuptim uses Bluetooth to transfer the complete family model directly between two nearby Android phones. Depending on the Android version, this uses Bluetooth nearby-device permissions; Android 11 and earlier may also require location permission for Bluetooth discovery.
The transferred archive is encrypted and authenticated using the temporary six-digit code displayed for that transfer. Kuptim does not use an internet server or intermediary. The receiving user chooses whether to merge the model with local words or replace the local model.
6) Network access and backup
Kuptim does not request the INTERNET permission and cannot send app data over the internet. Android cloud backup is disabled for Kuptim, including its family model and settings.
7) Retention and user control
Family words remain on the phone until the user removes them in Kuptim, clears the app's storage, or uninstalls the app. Clearing app storage or uninstalling removes the local model and settings. Because the developer never receives this data, there is no server copy for the developer to delete or recover.
8) Security
Kuptim encrypts stored model records, authenticates transfer archives, limits imported archive sizes and model counts, and offers an optional local PIN or supported biometric unlock. No security measure can guarantee absolute protection, so users should keep their phone and transfer code under their control.
9) Children's privacy
Kuptim is a family utility and does not knowingly collect personal information from children or anyone else. The app has no public profiles, social feed, chat, or user-generated-content service.
10) Scope and accuracy
Kuptim learns only the examples taught on a particular family phone. It is not a sign-language course, interpreter service, medical device, or emergency communication service, and it does not judge or rank how a person signs.
11) Changes
We may update this policy when Kuptim changes. The current version will remain available at privacy.saifullah.ai/kuptim.html with its effective date.
