Child Safety Standards — Wenjara
1) Our commitment
Wenjara and its developer, Saifullah Ahad, maintain zero tolerance for child sexual abuse and exploitation (CSAE), including child sexual abuse material (CSAM), grooming, sexual solicitation, sextortion, or other behavior that exploits or endangers children.
2) How shared content works
Wenjara has no public feed, account system, chat service, or developer-operated content server. During a temporary nearby walk, participant phones directly exchange short display names, meeting-point text, and alert state. That limited shared text must still comply with these standards.
3) Prohibited content and behavior
- CSAM or any sexualized content involving a minor.
- Grooming, sexual solicitation, sextortion, trafficking, or attempts to exploit a child.
- Threats, stalking, deceptive meeting instructions, or content intended to place a child in danger.
- Using display names or meeting-point text to share abusive, sexual, or exploitative material.
4) In-app reporting and immediate controls
Tap the flag beside any participant name to create a report and hide that participant locally. Use the report action beside shared meeting-point text for that content. The Home screen also provides Child Safety & Standards with an urgent report action. Reports open in your email app addressed to our child-safety contact so you can review and send them.
Because walk data is direct and temporary, the developer cannot remotely delete content from another phone. End the walk immediately, leave the group, preserve only evidence needed for a report, and contact local authorities if anyone is at risk.
5) Response and enforcement
We review child-safety reports promptly, provide safety guidance, preserve and disclose relevant reports where legally required, and cooperate with law enforcement. We may block future app access or distribution where technically and legally available. Suspected CSAM or child exploitation is reported to appropriate authorities, including NCMEC where required by law.
6) Reporting
- In app: use a flag action or Home → Child Safety & Standards → Report a child-safety concern.
- Email: [email protected].
- Authorities: contact local law enforcement or the NCMEC CyberTipline.
