Privacy Policy - Warta
1) Who we are
Warta is provided by Saifullah Ahad. Contact us at [email protected] or visit saifullah.ai.
2) What Warta does
Warta helps a family assemble, coordinate, and call the people who should hear about a death from a human voice. It also keeps a small time-ordered list of practical work around the burial.
3) Information handled
Information entered by family contributors can include the deceased person's name, burial time and place, contributors' names and relationships, other people's names and phone numbers, kinship words, life periods, travel estimates, call outcomes, and task notes. Warta also creates random room, record, and device identifiers and a device signing public key.
The app does not use contact-book access, call-log access, location, advertising identifiers, analytics, advertising, or crash-reporting SDKs.
4) How information is used
Family-entered information is used only to build the shared list, suggest possible duplicate records for human review, identify missing chapters in the person's life, order calls by the burial deadline, reserve each call for one phone, and synchronize the family circle.
5) Storage, encryption, and service providers
- On the phone, the family record is encrypted with a key protected by Android Keystore.
- For multi-phone coordination, padded AES-GCM encrypted batches are stored through Cloudflare. The service receives opaque ciphertext, random identifiers, public signing keys, timestamps, and lease metadata; it does not receive the readable family record or encryption key.
- Firebase Cloud Messaging, operated by Google, supplies an app-installation token and carries content-free wake signals so another phone knows encrypted changes are available. Death details and contact names are never placed in a notification payload.
- Network providers may process ordinary connection information such as IP addresses as part of delivering the service.
We do not sell personal information or share it for advertising.
6) Retention and deletion
Encrypted family-circle data is automatically deleted from the service after 40 days. The circle owner can use Delete this family record in the app to delete the server copy sooner. Clearing app storage or uninstalling removes the local copy; uninstalling alone cannot request deletion of a server copy, so use the in-app deletion control first when available.
7) Permissions and device features
- Camera: requested only if you choose to scan a family member's private QR code. Frames are decoded on the device and are not uploaded.
- Biometric authentication: optional for the independent app lock. Android performs the check; Warta receives only success or failure and never receives biometric data.
- Photo picker: you may choose a QR image through Android's system picker without granting broad photo-library access.
- Phone dialler: Warta opens the system dialler with a number only after you tap. It cannot place a call itself and does not read call history.
8) Your choices
You decide what to enter, whether to join another phone, whether to enable the app lock, and whether to use the camera. You can deny or revoke camera permission in Android Settings. A family can continue using the local record when a connection is unavailable.
9) Security limitations
Warta uses encryption, signed requests, and replay protection. No system can guarantee absolute security. The private join QR or text contains the key to read that family circle and should be shown only to intended contributors.
10) Children's privacy
Warta is intended for adults coordinating family responsibilities and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect children's personal information.
11) International processing
Cloudflare and Google may process service data in countries other than yours, subject to their safeguards and applicable law.
12) Changes and contact
We may update this policy and will post the current version at this address with a new effective date. For privacy questions or deletion help, email [email protected].
