Privacy Policy - Trialune

Effective date: 2026-07-14

Plain-language summary: Trialune works without an account, advertising, analytics, or location access. Search criteria and saved study identifiers are sent directly to the public ClinicalTrials.gov API when needed. Saved studies and private notes stay in local app storage and are not sent to the developer.

1) Who we are

Trialune is provided by Saifullah Ahad ("we", "us", "our"). Our portfolio is saifullah.ai.

Email: [email protected]

Location: Dhaka, Bangladesh

2) What Trialune does

Trialune helps people search, review, save, compare, and prepare questions about public clinical-study records. It retrieves records from ClinicalTrials.gov. Trialune is independent and is not affiliated with or endorsed by ClinicalTrials.gov, the U.S. government, study sponsors, or healthcare providers.

3) Information sent to ClinicalTrials.gov

When you perform a search, Trialune sends the criteria you enter directly to the ClinicalTrials.gov API, which may include:

Trialune also checks the public status of saved studies in the background when a network connection is available. Those requests contain only the public NCT study identifiers. Your notes are never included.

These requests are necessary to return or refresh the records you asked for. They go to ClinicalTrials.gov over HTTPS; the developer does not operate that service, receive the requests, or maintain a copy of your search history. ClinicalTrials.gov's own handling is governed by its privacy policy.

4) Information stored locally

Trialune can store the following only inside the app's private storage on your device:

Trialune disables Android cloud backup and device-transfer export for its app data. Local data remains until you remove saved items, clear the app's storage, or uninstall the app.

5) Information we do not collect

Trialune does not provide a developer account system and does not collect:

There is no advertising, analytics, authentication, payment, or developer-operated cloud SDK in the app.

6) Permissions

Trialune does not request location, camera, microphone, contacts, storage, notification, or health-data permission.

7) Sharing and email actions

Trialune can open Android's share sheet with a text discussion brief. It can also open your email app for feedback. These actions occur only when you choose them. The destination app and recipient then control the information you decide to send. Trialune does not upload the shared text itself.

8) Security and retention

Network requests use HTTPS. Local records use Android's app-private storage. No storage or transmission method can be guaranteed perfectly secure, but Trialune limits data by avoiding accounts, trackers, and a developer backend. We do not retain personal data on developer servers because the app sends none to us.

9) Your choices

10) Medical and eligibility notice

Trialune provides educational and organizational information only. It does not provide medical advice, diagnosis, treatment, emergency services, or an eligibility decision. Published criteria can require clinical interpretation. Only the study team can confirm eligibility, and a qualified healthcare professional can explain medical risks and alternatives.

11) Children's privacy

Trialune is intended for adults and is not directed to children under 13. Although public registry records can describe pediatric studies, Trialune does not knowingly collect personal information from children or anyone else.

12) International processing

ClinicalTrials.gov is a U.S. service. A registry request may therefore be processed outside your country. Trialune does not transfer your local saved studies or private notes to the developer or to ClinicalTrials.gov.

13) Changes to this policy

We may update this policy when Trialune's functionality or legal requirements change. The current version will remain available at privacy.saifullah.ai/trialune.html, with the effective date updated above.

14) Contact

Privacy questions or requests can be sent to Saifullah Ahad at [email protected].
