Delete Shigowa Account and Data
Shigowa uses a pseudonymous device account. It does not ask for a name, email address, phone number, or password. You can delete the device account and its cloud data directly in the app.
Delete in Shigowa
- Open Shigowa.
- Tap Menu, then Settings.
- Open Privacy & safety.
- Tap Delete account and cloud records.
- Read the warning and tap Delete my account.
This removes the device account's public key, push token, raw transfer records, confirmations, pairing bindings, blocks, and reports submitted by that account. Local Shigowa data is also cleared. Affected aggregate route cells are recalculated from the remaining eligible records. An independently submitted record belongs to the other device account and must be deleted from that account.
Data retention
Local app records are retained on your device until you uninstall or clear storage. Server data is retained until account deletion or TTL expiry.
Delete local data only
Android Settings → Apps → Shigowa → Storage → Clear storage removes local records, the offline queue, settings, and the dedicated Shigowa PIN hash. Uninstalling also removes local data. Clearing local storage without using the in-app cloud deletion control does not by itself identify or delete an existing cloud account.
If you cannot use the app
Email [email protected] with the subject Shigowa data deletion help. Do not send a pairing code, PIN, transfer amount, identity document, or financial account details. Because accounts are pseudonymous, we may need safe proof from the original app installation before deleting an account.
