Child Safety Standards — Shigowa
1. Zero tolerance
Shigowa prohibits child sexual abuse and exploitation (CSAE), including child sexual abuse material (CSAM), grooming, sexual solicitation, sextortion, sexualization of minors, trafficking, and any content or conduct that exploits or endangers a child.
2. Where content can appear
Shigowa does not provide chat, public profiles, or a social feed. Users may enter short transfer context notes and submit reports; only moderated aggregate route notes can appear to others. These limited content areas remain subject to these standards.
3. Prohibited conduct
- Creating, uploading, requesting, sharing, or linking to CSAM or other exploitative material.
- Grooming, sexual solicitation, sextortion, trafficking, or attempts to contact a child for exploitation.
- Sexualizing a minor or sharing identifying information that could endanger a child.
- Using transfer notes, pairing, or reports to threaten, harass, locate, or facilitate harm to a child.
- Evading a block or repeatedly submitting harmful content.
4. Prevention and reporting tools
- Sender-only notes remain private and never enter aggregate evidence.
- Public route notes are aggregate, moderated, and reportable.
- Every paired record includes Report and Block paired account controls.
- Every published aggregate note includes a report control.
- The app includes a dedicated Privacy & safety → Child Safety screen.
5. How to report
- In app: open the paired record or aggregate note, tap Report, and choose Child-safety concern.
- Email: contact the designated child-safety point at [email protected].
- Immediate danger: contact local emergency services or the appropriate child-protection authority first.
6. Response and enforcement
Reports are reviewed promptly. We may remove content, block or disable a device account, preserve relevant evidence, and report apparent CSAM or child exploitation to the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children (NCMEC) or other appropriate authorities when required by law. We cooperate with lawful investigations.
