Privacy Policy - Pukyu

1) Who We Are

Pukyu is developed by Saifullah Ahad ("we", "us", "our") as a dedicated, offline professional tool for water well pumping test analysis, aquifer parameter estimation, and pump placement design.

2) What Pukyu Does

Pukyu helps water well drillers, hydrogeologists, and pump installers analyze drawdown and recovery data from constant-rate and step-drawdown pumping tests. It fits analytical aquifer models (such as Theis, Cooper-Jacob, Hantush-Jacob, and Neuman), determines safe continuous discharge rates, and calculates optimal pump intake depth with safety margins.

Hydraulic Note: Pukyu evaluates hydraulic performance and water flow dynamics. It does not test or evaluate whether water is safe to drink.

3) Zero Permissions & Complete Offline Operation

Pukyu requests zero Android permissions.

• INTERNET permission is explicitly removed. The app has no network access and cannot communicate with any remote server.
• No location permissions are requested.
• No storage permissions are requested. File importing (logger CSVs) and report sharing (PDF reports) use standard Android system pickers and secure application-private file providers.
• No advertising, tracking, or third-party analytics SDKs are included.

4) Information We Collect and Process

We do not collect, transmit, sell, or share any personal data.

• On-Device Pumping Data: All well identifiers, casing dimensions, pumping rates, water level observations, and time series data you enter or import from logger CSVs are stored strictly on your local device.
• No Account System: The app requires no user account, registration, login, email address, or authentication.
• No Telemetry or Analytics: No crash reports, usage metrics, or diagnostic data are ever transmitted off your device.

5) Data Storage, Retention & Deletion

All project records and calculation results are saved locally in the app's private sandbox storage on your device. You retain full control over your data:

• You can edit or delete projects directly within the app.
• Clearing the app's storage in Android Settings or uninstalling the app permanently erases all locally stored data.
• Because no data is ever transmitted to us or any remote server, there are no remote servers from which data can or needs to be deleted.

6) Document Sharing

Pukyu allows you to generate PDF summary reports of your pumping test analyses. Sharing a PDF report is entirely user-initiated via Android's native share sheet. The app never sends or uploads documents in the background.

7) Children's Privacy

Pukyu is a specialized engineering utility not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children or any other users.

8) Changes to This Privacy Policy

If we update this policy, the updated version will be posted at https://privacy.saifullah.ai/pukyu.html with an updated effective date.
