Privacy Policy for Pokuna

1. Overview and Core Commitment

Pokuna is an Android tool for recording earth-pond details and dawn observations. This development version does not provide an operational oxygen forecast or automatic aerator plan. Do not use it to decide when to run an aerator or change feeding.

The developer does not receive your pond records. Records are stored in the app on your device. There is no developer-operated server.

There are no user accounts, no login screens, no tracking codes, and no advertisements.

2. Data Collection and Usage

• Personal Information: Pokuna does not collect any personally identifiable information (PII) such as your name, phone number, email address, or device identifiers.
• Pond Records and Dawn Checks: Pond details, stocking records, dawn observations and any kit readings you enter are stored in an app-private SQLite database. Settings are stored in app-private preferences. This is Android app-private storage, not a claim of app-level database encryption.
• Location Data: The current interface does not request GPS or background location access. A weather client is included in the code but is not connected to the production forecast flow. Its planned requests use coordinates rounded to 0.1 degree; this is not a claim that a live network privacy test has passed.

3. Network Communications and Third Parties

The current production forecast flow does not fetch weather. The manifest includes Internet and network-state permissions for the planned weather connection. Before that feature is enabled, this policy and the Play data-safety declaration must be reviewed against its actual behavior.

• Share and export: When you choose Share plan or Export CSV, Android lets you select another app. That app receives the text you choose to share and handles it under its own policy. Pond names and observations may be included. The developer does not receive a copy.
• Read aloud: Text is passed to your selected Android text-to-speech engine. Its processing and any network use depend on that engine and the installed voice. Pokuna does not upload speech to a developer service.
• External links: Opening a link uses your browser, whose privacy settings and the destination website's policy apply. The planned weather provider publishes its terms and privacy policy.

No other third-party SDKs, analytics frameworks, telemetry services, crash reporters, or advertising networks are embedded in Pokuna.

4. Data Storage and Retention

Pokuna has no automatic cloud backup. Its Android configuration disables app backup and excludes its private records from Android cloud backup and device transfer. Manufacturer-specific behavior has not been tested on a physical device.

You can delete a pond and its associated records in the app. Clearing Pokuna's storage in Android Settings or uninstalling removes its local app data. Copies you deliberately shared remain with the receiving app or recipient; Pokuna cannot delete those copies. Deletion here does not promise forensic secure erasure from device storage.

5. Android Permissions

Notifications, vibration and wake locks support reminders. Exact-alarm access supports the planned aerator alarm. Boot and time-change receivers restore scheduled app work. Android may delay reminders. The current build does not supply automatic oxygen-based aerator advice. No camera, microphone, contacts or location permission is requested.

6. Children's Privacy

Pokuna is an agricultural productivity tool for farmers and is not targeted at children under 13. The application does not knowingly collect any data from children.
