1. Overview & Privacy Commitment
Mthenga (“the App”) is an offline multi-stop delivery route optimization tool developed by Saifullah Ahad. It helps couriers, technicians, and field workers order their daily stops, respect time windows, and plan efficient delivery routes on real road networks offline.
Privacy by Design: Mthenga operates completely offline on your device. Your stops, customer names, addresses, phone numbers, and parcel notes never leave your phone.
2. Information Handled by the App
All operational data is processed and stored locally on your device:
Delivery Stops & Route Plans: Addresses, customer names, phone numbers, delivery notes, cash-on-delivery amounts, and time-window restrictions that you input or import are stored exclusively in an encrypted local database on your device.
Learned Travel Times: Historical travel times derived from your completed trips stay on your phone to calibrate future route calculations.
No Location Tracking: Mthenga does not request or use location permissions (no ACCESS_FINE_LOCATION or ACCESS_COARSE_LOCATION). The app never reads or tracks your device’s GPS or location data.
3. Network Communications & Map Packs
The only network communication performed by Mthenga is downloading public offline map packs (containing road routing graphs) hosted on Cloudflare R2 storage at mthenga-maps.saifullah.ai.
Downloads are anonymous HTTP GET requests for static public map files.
No user credentials, device identifiers, delivery stops, or personal data are transmitted in these requests.
No third-party analytics, tracking SDKs, advertising libraries, or crash reporting services are embedded in Mthenga.
4. Phone Calls & Contacts
Mthenga does not require or request permissions to read your address book (contacts) or make phone calls directly. When you tap to call a customer, Mthenga launches your device’s standard phone dialer (ACTION_DIAL) with the customer phone number pre-filled, leaving full control in your hands.
5. Data Storage, Security & Deletion
Encryption at Rest: All stop records, notes, and route plans are stored on-device with AES-256-GCM encryption at rest.
Full User Control: You can delete individual stops, routes, downloaded map packs, or use the “Delete Everything” feature in settings to wipe all local application data permanently.
Uninstalling the app immediately erases all locally stored data.
6. Third-Party Sharing
We do not collect, sell, lease, or share any personal information with third parties. There are no advertising networks, data brokers, or marketing partners integrated into the application.
7. Children’s Privacy
Mthenga is a work tool designed for adult couriers and commercial delivery riders. It is not directed at children under the age of 13, and we do not knowingly collect information from children.
