1) Who we are

Mawid is provided by Saifullah ("we", "us", "our"). Our website is: https://saifullah.ai.

2) What this policy covers

This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have when you use Mawid (the "App").

3) Information we collect

Most data stays entirely on your device:

• Appointments and client details (names, phone numbers, service notes, dates, times) — stored locally in the on-device database.
• App settings (theme, language, lock preferences, business services, opening hours, time zone and AI consent) — stored locally in DataStore Preferences.
• Mawid PIN hash and salt — stored locally; we never see or transmit the actual PIN.
• Local backup files you create — saved to a location you choose on your device.

Data transmitted only when you choose:

• AI appointment assistant (version 1.1 and later): after you accept the in-app notice and press "Prepare draft", your typed request and business services, durations, opening hours and time zone are sent over HTTPS to Cloudflare Workers AI. Your request may contain any client name, phone number or note you choose to include. Your saved appointment book, client directory, backup files and Mawid PIN are not sent to the AI service. You review and confirm each draft before Mawid saves an appointment locally.
• Abuse prevention: Cloudflare processes your network IP address to deliver the service. Mawid temporarily stores a daily salted hash of that address and request counts to limit misuse. These counters are cleared at a daily UTC boundary; a delayed cleanup can retain an expired counter until the cleanup completes.
• Feedback message: In version 1.1 and later, "Open email draft" opens your chosen email app with the message you wrote and Mawid's version in the subject. Nothing is sent automatically. If you send the email, we receive your message and sender address so we can reply. Earlier versions use the Web3Forms relay described below.

We do not collect analytics, crash reports, advertising identifiers, location data, contacts, photos, or any data in the background.

4) How we use information

• Provide core app features (appointment scheduling, client management, reminders, backup).
• Prepare an AI appointment draft only at your request, and protect the shared service from misuse.
• Respond to feedback you choose to send us.

5) Sharing and disclosure

We do not sell your personal information.

The optional appointment assistant uses Cloudflare Workers AI. Cloudflare processes the submitted content to generate the draft. Its documented service policy states that it does not use this content to train AI models or improve services without explicit consent. Mawid does not enable prompt logging or store request and response content in its backend. Cloudflare also processes operational data under its privacy policy.

In version 1.1 and later, feedback is sent only through the email app you choose and under that provider's terms. Mawid does not send a feedback network request or append your device model or Android version.

In earlier versions, when you send feedback, your message, app version, Android version, device model and optional reply address are relayed through Web3Forms (privacy policy) to deliver it to [email protected]. Web3Forms processes the submission only to relay it; we do not use it for any other purpose. Transmission is encrypted (HTTPS).

We may also disclose information if required by law or to protect rights, safety, and security.

6) Data retention

Your saved appointment book, client directory and settings are stored on your device. Submitted AI requests and generated drafts are processed in memory; Mawid does not retain copies in its backend. Temporary abuse-prevention counters are described above. Feedback messages are retained in our email inbox until deleted.

7) Your choices and controls

• Permissions: you can allow or deny notification permission in Android settings.
• AI choice: using the assistant is optional. Choose Settings → Appointment assistant → Turn off AI assistant to withdraw consent for future requests. The normal appointment form works without AI or an internet connection.
• Deletion: uninstalling the app removes all locally stored data (appointments, clients, settings, PIN). To request deletion of a feedback message, contact us at the email below.
• Backup: you control when and where backup files are created and can delete them from your device.

8) Security

We use reasonable safeguards to protect information. The optional app lock uses biometric authentication and/or a salted SHA-256 PIN hash. Feedback and AI requests are transmitted over HTTPS. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, but we work to protect your data.

9) Children's privacy

Mawid is not directed to children under 13 (or the equivalent minimum age in your jurisdiction), and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

10) International transfers

If you access the app from outside the country where our service providers process data, your feedback and optional AI request information may be transferred across borders. We take steps to protect information in accordance with this policy.

11) Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will post the updated policy on our website at https://saifullah.ai and update the effective date above.
