Child Safety Standards - Iomlaid
1) Our commitment
Iomlaid, developed by Saifullah Ahad, has zero tolerance for child sexual abuse and exploitation (CSAE), including child sexual abuse material (CSAM). Iomlaid must never be used to exploit, sexualize, groom, contact, traffic, threaten, or endanger a child.
2) Who Iomlaid is for
Iomlaid is an adult physical-book exchange service intended only for people aged 18 and over. It does not provide a public catalogue, seller profile, public member feed, bargaining chat, or unrestricted messaging. A member sees a handoff only after the clearing service assigns a complete route.
3) Prohibited content and conduct
The following are strictly prohibited:
- Creating, possessing, requesting, offering, uploading, linking to, or distributing CSAM.
- Sexual grooming, solicitation, sextortion, trafficking, or exploitation of a minor.
- Sexual content involving a minor, including disguised or fictionalized requests intended to facilitate abuse.
- Using a book title, image, reading need, tracking field, report, postal handoff, QR/NFC proof, or account detail to contact, sexualize, threaten, locate, or endanger a child.
- Attempting to move contact outside the narrow communication needed to complete an assigned postal leg.
- Helping another person conceal, coordinate, normalize, or promote child exploitation.
4) In-app safeguards
- A dedicated Safety screen explains the rules and provides an urgent child-safety report route.
- Every assigned relay leg provides Report a problem and Safety / block actions.
- Reports can target an assigned member, copy, custody record, or structured message. Child safety, unsafe contact, sexual content, harassment, fraud, spam, and other reasons are supported.
- Blocking removes compatibility in both directions before future clearing batches and hides the reported item locally.
- There is no unrestricted chat. Structured relay actions are scoped to assigned members and copies.
- A postal address is visible only to the one assigned sender while that leg is open and is deleted when its purpose ends.
5) How to report
- In Iomlaid: open the assigned relay and tap Report a problem or Safety / block, or open Safety → Submit a report. Choose Child safety for suspected CSAE.
- Email: contact the dedicated child-safety point of contact at [email protected].
- Authorities: contact local law enforcement and the appropriate child-protection reporting organization. In the United States, reports may be submitted to the NCMEC CyberTipline.
If a child is in immediate danger, contact local emergency services first. Do not download, copy, attach, or forward suspected illegal material to make a report. Provide safe identifiers and context instead.
6) Review, enforcement, and cooperation
We prioritize child-safety reports for review. We may restrict or remove accounts and content, exclude accounts from future matching, preserve safe evidence, and cooperate with lawful investigations. Apparent child exploitation is reported to relevant authorities when required. We do not notify a reported person when doing so could increase risk or compromise an investigation.
False reports intended to harass another member may also lead to enforcement. An appeal route is available for moderation decisions, but child safety and preservation duties take priority.
