Engegar Privacy Policy

Effective date: October 26, 2026
Developer: Saifullah Ahad
Android package: ai.saifullah.engegar

Engegar writes a selected operating-system image to a USB drive. It has no account, network permission, analytics, advertising SDK or automatic diagnostic upload.

Selected files and USB access

You choose an ISO or IMG file through Android's system file picker. Engegar reads its name, size, structure and contents to prepare the USB drive. The image is processed on your device and is not uploaded to us.

Android asks you to authorize access to a connected USB device. Engegar reads its vendor, model, serial number, capacity and sector size to identify the target and perform the write. After you confirm the named drive's erasure, its existing files can be permanently destroyed. Engegar does not erase a drive merely because it is connected.

Local write records

The app keeps a local session journal to recognize an interrupted operation. This can contain the image name and size, USB identity and capacity, written file names and hashes, progress and error details. It is stored in the app's private storage. A new operation can replace the previous record; an unfinished record can be discarded in the app. Clearing Engegar's app storage or uninstalling the app removes its private records, but does not remove the original image or erase the USB drive.

Android backup is disabled and the app excludes its private storage from cloud backup and device-transfer requests. The app does not operate a cloud backup service.

Permissions and background operation

The app does not request broad storage, location, contacts, camera, microphone or Internet access. The system file picker controls access to your selected image.

Diagnostics, feedback and external links

If you choose an Export Diagnostic Log or Export Session Log action, the current implementation copies JSON text to the Android clipboard. It can include USB identity, the selected image name and size, progress and errors. Nothing is uploaded automatically. Review the copied text before pasting or sending it; filenames may contain information you consider private.

Feedback opens your email app with our public address. Website and privacy links open your browser, and the contact phone action opens your dialer. These separate apps operate under their own policies. If you send us an email, we receive the address and content you choose to send and use them to answer your request. You may ask us to delete that correspondence.

Collection and sharing

Engegar does not transmit app data to the developer or an analytics service. We do not sell app data. There is no user account, advertising identifier, automatic telemetry or third-party tracking SDK. A copy written to your own USB drive remains under your control.

Limits and data protection

Read-back verification compares copied data. It does not certify an image as authentic, licensed, safe or free from malware, and it does not guarantee that a computer will boot. Physical USB and computer boot compatibility has not yet been confirmed for this release. Keep a separate backup of any USB files you need before confirming erasure.

Children and changes

Engegar is a general utility intended for people aged 13 and older. We do not knowingly collect children's information through the app. Changes to this policy will appear on this page with an updated effective date.
