Privacy Policy

1. Introduction

DroneLog helps users organize drone preflight readiness, battery notes, airspace check evidence, and flight handoff records. Track drone, battery, airspace source, weather, location notes, checklist status, and pilot handoff messages before a recreational or small-team flight.

This Privacy Policy explains what information the app uses and how it is handled.

2. Data Stored by the App

DroneLog does not require an account. User-created plans and notes are stored locally on the device in app-private storage. This can include titles, checklist status, contact labels, message drafts, resource notes, readiness labels, and timestamps used to organize the dashboard.

This planning data is not uploaded to the developer by the app. If you use Android's share sheet, you choose where the shared text goes.

3. Optional Feedback

If you tap "Send feedback" in the About Developer screen and submit a message, the message text is sent to Web3Forms, a third-party email-relay service, which delivers it to the developer's email inbox at [email protected].

A short technical footer is attached to help troubleshoot bugs: app name, app version, Android version, device manufacturer, and device model. No saved plans, contacts, account data, files, photos, microphone data, or location data are attached.

Email address is optional. If you provide it, it is used only so the developer can reply.

4. Permissions

• Internet: used for optional feedback and for opening resource links that you tap.
• Network state: used to check whether a connection is available before sending feedback.

DroneLog does not request camera, microphone, location, contacts, SMS, call log, calendar, storage, notification, billing, ads, health, or account permissions.

5. How Data Is Used

Local planning data is used to show your dashboard, saved plans, readiness labels, checklists, plan details, contact notes, resource links, and shareable summaries. Optional feedback data is used only for app support, bug reports, feature ideas, and developer replies when you provide an email address.

6. Data Sharing

DroneLog does not sell user data and does not include advertising SDKs, analytics SDKs, billing, accounts, public profiles, chat, or social feeds.

Optional feedback is processed by Web3Forms as an email-relay service provider. Web3Forms has its own privacy policy at https://web3forms.com/privacy.

7. Retention and Deletion

Plans and notes remain on your device until you delete them in the app, clear app data, or uninstall the app. To request deletion of feedback messages sent to the developer inbox, email [email protected].

8. Children's Privacy

DroneLog is not directed to children. The app does not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child sent personal information through feedback, contact the developer so it can be deleted.

9. Changes to This Policy

This policy may be updated when app features or data practices change. The effective date at the top of this page will be updated when changes are made.

DroneLog organizes user-entered preflight notes only. It does not authorize flights, provide legal permission, replace aviation rules, or replace weather, airspace, manufacturer, or safety guidance. Confirm every flight with official sources before takeoff.
