Deurvloei
Privacy policy
Developer: Saifullah Ahad
Effective date: 22 October 2026
Android package: ai.saifullah.deurvloei
Deurvloei models a building's water supply from information you enter. Project records are stored on your device. You choose whether to export a readable report or project archive to another app or document provider.
Information you enter
Projects can contain building and tap labels, floor and pipe layouts, source and tank information, pump curves, measurements, notes, scenarios, calculations and prices. Avoid entering personal information that you do not need for a project. Deurvloei does not require an account.
Local storage and protection
Saved project payloads, drafts and calculation checkpoints use authenticated encryption with device-local Android Keystore keys. Database identifiers and status metadata support local lookup. Temporary calculation files contain numerical model inputs rather than your building names or notes. Comparison working chunks are encrypted and removed when the calculation ends; an interrupted calculation can leave unreadable temporary chunks until the owning project's working files are removed.
The app requests that Android exclude its data from cloud backup and device-to-device transfer. This configuration is not a guarantee of every manufacturer's transfer behavior. Use an explicit project export if you need a recoverable copy. Device loss, uninstalling or clearing app data can make unexported projects permanently unavailable.
Optional app lock
The lock is off by default. You can choose an app-specific PIN, supported biometrics, or both. The app PIN is separate from your phone's PIN. A salted PIN hash and lock preferences are stored locally. Android performs biometric authentication; Deurvloei does not receive your fingerprint, face image or enrolled biometric templates.
A changed or unavailable biometric key does not silently unlock the app. Use an already configured alternative app method, or deliberately reset local app data after reading the loss warning. Locked or protected screens restrict screenshots and recent-app previews. These controls cannot protect a file after you explicitly export it.
Exports and imports
PDF and CSV reports and JSON/ZIP project archives are readable by their recipients. Personal labels and notes are omitted by default; you can choose to include them. Numerical layouts, calculations and identifiers still appear in exported files. A report is not a restorable project backup; a project archive is.
You select the destination or source through Android's document picker. That provider may be local storage or a cloud service and handles the file under its own privacy policy. Deurvloei does not upload it to a developer server. Canceling or failing an export keeps the source project, but a provider may retain an incomplete output file. Imports are validated before a separate project copy is saved; they do not restore Android Keystore secrets or app-lock credentials.
Retention and deletion
Saved revisions and calculation checkpoints remain locally until you delete their project or clear the app's data. Project deletion offers a ten-second undo period. After that period, local records, record keys and the project's owned working files are removed. Deletion is not a promise of forensic erasure from flash storage. Exported files and copies retained by recipients or document providers must be deleted separately.
Permissions and external apps
Deurvloei uses Android's normal biometric permission and, on compatible older Android versions, the legacy fingerprint permission for its optional lock. It does not request Internet, camera, microphone, location, contacts, phone, notifications or broad storage access. Measurements and timer readings are entered or started by you; the app does not inspect your home using sensors.
Opening this policy uses your browser. Choosing feedback opens an email app; nothing is sent automatically and no project content is attached automatically. Your browser, email service and chosen document provider have their own policies.
Developer collection and support
The app has no analytics, advertising SDK, automatic error reporting or developer-operated data collection endpoint. Project contents are not intentionally written to diagnostic logs. If you email support, the developer receives the information you choose to send and uses it to answer your request. You can request deletion of that correspondence, subject to any retention required by law.
Children and changes to this policy
The app is intended for users aged 13 and above and does not knowingly solicit personal information from children under 13. Contact the developer if you believe a child has sent personal information to support. This policy may change when the app's data practices change; the effective date will be updated on this page.
