Privacy Policy for Broyta

Summary: Broyta processes only the video you select, entirely on your Android device. It has no account, advertising, analytics, tracking, upload service, or network permission. We do not collect or share personal data.

1. Files you choose

Broyta uses Android's system file picker. The app receives narrow access only to the video that you explicitly select. It does not browse your media library, request broad storage access, or read other files.

2. On-device processing

The selected video is processed locally with Android's media framework and AndroidX Media3 Transformer. The source file and its contents are not uploaded to us or to a cloud conversion service.

3. Temporary files, exported files, and data retention

Everything Broyta processes stays on your device. We do not store or retain your data on any server, so there is nothing for us to keep, share or delete. On the device your project settings and exported media stay until you delete them or clear the app’s storage; Android removes the app’s private cache when it is uninstalled. We keep no backups of your content, no analytics profiles and no advertising identifiers.

• A temporary converted file is created in app-private cache.
• Android's create-document screen lets you choose the output filename and destination.
• The temporary file is deleted after a successful save or when you reset the workflow.
• Files saved to a destination you choose remain under your control. Uninstalling Broyta does not delete those exported files.
• Clearing the app's data removes any remaining app-private cache.

4. Permissions and network access

Broyta requests no camera, microphone, photo-library, storage, Internet, network-state, location, contacts, phone, SMS, notification, advertising, or health permission. Android grants file access only through the system pickers described above.

5. Feedback and external links

If you choose “Send feedback,” Broyta opens an installed email app using an ACTION_SENDTO mailto: intent. Broyta does not collect or transmit the message. Any email you decide to send is handled by your email provider under its own privacy terms. Links on the developer screen likewise open in another installed app.

6. Third-party services

Broyta contains no advertising, analytics, tracking, social, or cloud-storage SDK. AndroidX Media3 is included only to perform local media conversion and does not send your media to us.

7. Children

Broyta is a general-purpose utility and is not directed specifically to children. Because the app does not collect personal data, we do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

8. Changes

We may update this policy when the app's behavior changes. The effective date above identifies the current version.
