Child Safety Standards — Basagga
1. Zero tolerance
Basagga prohibits child sexual abuse and exploitation (CSAE), child sexual abuse material (CSAM), grooming, sexual solicitation, sextortion, trafficking, sexualisation of minors, and content or conduct that exploits, tracks, threatens, or endangers a child.
2. Product scope and age
Basagga is designed for adults recording fixed building-condition categories and is not directed to children under 13. It has no public profiles, chat, direct messages, social following, person search, rating, review, narrative accusation, or public media feed.
3. Prevention by design
- Records use a closed list of eight property-condition categories; names and free-form narratives are not accepted.
- The original photograph stays in private device storage while a record is sealed.
- A photograph can be uploaded only as authenticated ciphertext after a valid three-record exchange.
- Shared encrypted photographs are limited to members of that filing group and are never published in a searchable feed.
- Device signatures, a 24-hour eligibility delay, replay protection, and quotas reduce automated abuse.
4. In-app reporting
Every opened record has a visible Report action, including a Child safety concern reason. Basagga opens the user’s email app with the record ID and reason addressed to the child-safety contact. The user reviews and sends the email; Basagga never sends it silently. A dedicated Settings → Child Safety screen links to these published standards.
5. How to report a concern
- In the app: open the relevant item, choose Report, then Child safety concern.
- Email: contact the Basagga child-safety point of contact at [email protected].
- Immediate danger: contact local emergency services or law enforcement first.
- Online child exploitation: where appropriate, report to the NCMEC CyberTipline or the relevant authority in your country.
6. Review and enforcement
We review child-safety reports promptly. Depending on the available evidence and applicable law, we may remove associated encrypted objects or relay records, restrict abusive infrastructure use, preserve limited relevant evidence, and report suspected child exploitation to the appropriate authority. Encryption can limit what we can inspect; include the record ID and any safe, relevant context in your email. Do not send illegal imagery by email.
